Construction Knowledge On The Floor
Our associates can explain kiln-dried frames, corner blocking, spring systems and cushion density in plain language, and they will show you what to check on any sofa in any store.

To help every household furnish a home that is comfortable, well made and sized correctly for the room, with honest guidance at every step from first visit to final placement.
Who We Are
Svenska Folkhemmet Möbler & Inredning is a locally owned furniture retailer helping households in Täby furnish every room from living and dining to bedrooms, home offices and entryways. Our showroom is arranged in full room settings so you can judge scale, comfort and color together instead of imagining them from a catalog page. Our sales team is trained in frame construction, cushion cores, upholstery fabrics and wood finishes, which means you get plain answers about what lasts and what does not. We offer in-stock pieces for quick delivery, custom upholstery orders for exact sizes and fabrics, and a design consultation service for anyone furnishing a whole home or a difficult floor plan.
Behind the showroom is a receiving warehouse, an inspection bay and a delivery team employed by Svenska Folkhemmet Möbler & Inredning, not a distant carrier. Every piece is unpacked, checked for finish and hardware defects and staged before it is scheduled to your home. Drivers carry furniture into the room of your choice, assemble it, place it where you want it and remove the packaging. That attention to the last ten feet is how a good purchase becomes a good experience, and it is the reason so many of our customers come back to furnish the next room.

Our Mission
To sell furniture we would put in our own homes, deliver it with care and stand behind its construction long after the receipt has been filed away.

Our Advantages
Our associates can explain kiln-dried frames, corner blocking, spring systems and cushion density in plain language, and they will show you what to check on any sofa in any store.
Delivery crews are employed by us, trained in careful handling and equipped to carry, assemble and place your furniture without leaving the work to a third-party carrier.
You are told up front what is in stock, what is on order and when to expect it, with proactive updates if a timeline changes along the way.
Furniture is displayed as it would live in your home, with rugs, lighting and accessories, so you can judge scale, color and comfort together before you decide.
Questions about a cushion, a drawer or a finish go to a local service team that knows your order, not to a distant call center with no records.
We check doorways, hallways, stairwells and ceiling heights before delivery is scheduled, so large pieces arrive and actually make it into the room.
Our staff can tell you how a frame is joined and what the suspension is, so you can compare two sofas on something other than the price tag.
An in-home visit checks the room, the stairwell and the doorways before a custom order is placed, which avoids an expensive discovery later.
Custom upholstery takes as long as the mill takes, and we tell you that number up front and pass on any change as soon as we hear it.
Compliance
Frame, suspension and cushion construction are explained plainly.

Client Feedback
The consultant measured our living room, told us the sectional we liked was an inch too deep for the walkway and found one that fit perfectly. That kind of honesty saved us from a very expensive mistake.
Delivery was the best I have experienced. The crew arrived in the window, protected our floors, put the bed together and took every scrap of packaging away. The whole bedroom was ready before dinner.
We furnished three rental units with them. They helped us choose durable fabrics and finishes, coordinated delivery dates around our turnovers and answered every follow-up question without delay.

Projects & Case Studies

A downtown renter needed seating, storage and a dining spot in one open room. After measuring, we recommended a sofa with a shallow depth, a drop-leaf table and wall-mounted shelving, all of which fit through a narrow elevator and stairwell without damage.

A household with young children chose a custom sectional in a performance fabric with a firm, high-resiliency seat. The configuration was drawn to the room dimensions, delivered in sections, assembled in place and finished with matching accent pillows and a durable coffee table.
A retired couple moved to a smaller home and replaced several large pieces with scaled-down furniture. We coordinated removal of the old items, delivered new pieces on the move-in date and arranged each room before the crew left the property.

A growing family purchased a four-bedroom home and furnished every room through a single design consultation. We provided a living room sectional, dining set, bedroom suites and a home office, delivered in two coordinated phases so each room was complete and ready on move-in weekend.
